Into the badlands season 3 trailer
There isn't going to be a version where Tybalt has to be killed three times because he supernaturally survives the first two times he's fatally run through.

People complain about the writing because certain thematic elements just aren't going to happen in the next production of Romeo and Juliet you see. Within those parameters, the show is as good as anything ever introduced to American audiences. It's meant to be an American-friendly version of the Hong Kong-style martial arts soap opera. I want to strongly disagree with this assessment of Into the Badlands that keeps popping up.īadlands is incredibly successful at being the show it's intended to be. Then I remember that the real problem was that no one listened to the stunt team on that show (at least, according to a stuntman on YouTube). I haven’t seen Into the Badlands, but I have seen the fight scenes, and it made me wish these people worked on Iron Fist instead. Unlike Finn Jones, Chloe Bennet actually does a solid chunk of her own fight scenes, especially the one-takes.

Instead, you had an untrained actor who can’t use a stunt double much because there’s no costume, horrible editing to try and hide said stunt double’s face, and potentially decent choreography that’s ruined by the first 2 things.īy comparison, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D does a much better job on a smaller budget.

I get that it’s not exactly the most important thing in a TV show, but when your entire premise centers around ONE OF THE GREATEST MARTIAL ARTISTS IN THE MARVEL UNIVERSE, I at least expect them to look somewhat good, especially given that it’s on Netflix. To be fair, Iron Fist is incredibly below average in terms of stunts and choreography.
